Yes, I shoot both 35mm and medium format film at weddings. 35mm feels spontaneous and nostalgic, while medium format feels more refined and editorial. Medium format has more detail and depth, and I usually use it for portraits and key moments.
+ Do you shoot medium format? What’s the difference between 35mm and medium format?
I choose film based on the light and the feeling of your day — the atmosphere, the colour palette, and the mood. Some stocks are soft and romantic, others nostalgic and bold. I choose the film that matches the emotion of the moment, and if there’s a specific film stock you love, I’m more than happy to include it.
+ How do you choose film stocks for our wedding?
I always shoot with backup gear — your memories are safe with me.
Film cameras are beautiful vintage machines, and because they can be a little temperamental, I always bring backups so everything runs smoothly on your wedding day.
+ How many cameras do you bring? Do you have backups?
Yes. I’m based in Sydney, Australia, and most of my weddings are here. Every year I travel to Europe during the European summer months, and I take a small number of weddings while I’m there. I’ve photographed celebrations in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece.
I’m happy to travel anywhere in the world if the dates align. I simply limit destination bookings each year so I can stay committed to my Sydney couples. If your wedding or elopement requires travel, please reach out for a custom quote.
+ Do you travel for weddings and elopements?
Absolutely — yes. You can request 100% film-only coverage (35mm + medium format), or a mix of digital and film.
+ Can we book our whole wedding/ Elopement/ Portrait entirely on film?

Film Photography FAQ
For sure! I offer Super 8 wedding films as an add-on to my photography packages. It’s nostalgic, emotional, and beautifully imperfect — like watching a memory unfold on screen. Feel free to explore my Super 8 film Portfolio if you’d like to see what it feels like.
+ Can we add Super 8 film to our wedding?
Film requires developing, scanning, and colour correction. Typical turnaround is around 2 weeks for previews and 6–8 weeks for the final gallery for Sydney and interstate weddings. For destination weddings, additional time is needed to send the films to the lab I work with.
+ How long until we receive our photos?
There are so many things I love about film photography — the process, the tones, the perfectly imperfect vibe, and the sense of nostalgia. If you love film yourself, I highly recommend adding it to your wedding coverage. To put it simply: my favourite image from almost every wedding is shot on film, even after capturing thousands of digital images. Two rolls of film (about 70 shots) often hold the moments I treasure the most. Film has a timeless quality that digital simply can’t replicate.
